Like our father Fausto used to

Segata’s story started back in 1956, when father Fausto opened his butcher’s shop in Sopramonte square, a small village near Trento. Slowly but surely, this small village store became a production workshop and then a manufacturing factory, while getting bigger and bigger. Today, the company is managed by Fausto Segata’s four children, who run it “like father would have done”. In these valleys, we still choose the raw materials, according to family tradition, while respecting animal welfare and using renewable energy. This is family flavour for us: growing every day while drawing strength from our roots.

OUR STORY

1956

Fausto Segata opened a small butcher’s shop in the shadow of Sopramonte’s bell tower, a small village in the municipality of Trento.

1959

The business moved to a new butcher’s shop, where it started to produce Trentino charcuterie specialities.

1963

The first factory was opened, still in Sopramonte, where production became more industrial.

1968

It moved to a new, larger facility more suited to meet growing market demand.

1982

The current production factory was opened, in Cadine, a small village near Trento.

1998

First expansion: featuring a new automated shipping department and new positive and negative temperature cold rooms.

1999

A new company store was opened.

2004

Further expansion: with a new warehouse for storing Ho.re.ca. products and new speck ageing cold rooms.

2011

The tradition continued, but was renewed with the company’s new identity.

2014

A cogeneration plant was installed.

2017

The warehouses were automated.

2019

The company store was renovated.

2022

The first part of the photovoltaic plant was installed.

Today

we continue to bring people the best of Alpine flavour and Trentino tradition.
